Escape Room Conference - Game On 2025
A fantastic experience at the Game On 2025 conference. Escape Room owners and the associated industries make for a really friendly crowd. Two busy days learning so much! (And playing lots of escape rooms!)

You’re a giant! Oh no, wait… I’m tiny!
The Parvus Box escape room, opened at VR Escape in June 2025. The game plays with scale with different team members shrunk to different sizes.

A very late New Year message!
There’s no getting around it… posting a new year message in February is just ridiculous. Get yourselves together!

I’ve never used a VR headset and I don’t play video games - will I like this?
Will you enjoy a VR escape room or is it strictly for the kids and computer folk?

Why you won’t experience motion sickness playing our escape rooms..
You won’t get motion sickness playing at VR Escape - this post explores why.
In VR Escape's games you physically walk around the room. The motion you see is the same as the motion your ears are “hearing.” When your eyes and ears are telling the brain the same thing there’s no confusion, so there's no motion sickness. Even if you're someone who gets car sick or even if you've had VR sickness trying home VR - our games will not affect you!

Which games are easiest/hardest?
Most escape room venues have two or three rooms which makes the choice easy. We’ve got seven, with more coming soon. There’s simply too much choice and that can make it hard to pick one. This blog aims to help by guiding as to difficulty level and the type of puzzles you might encounter - although we’ve been careful to ensure there are no spoilers!

VR Escape rooms, as seen on the BBC
Look mum, we’re on the telly!
Did you know we can bring our escape rooms to you?
The BBC were kind enough to cover our mobile exploits at the Chelmsford Science Festival on behalf of Chelmsford for You and for Anglia Ruskin University.
More than a hundred and eighty people tried to save the world playing Space Station Tiberia, introducing loads of people to VR for the first time. It was lovely!
